Oio Road Connector
Oio Road connector is mostly quiet gravel road, with an overall ascent of 100m, it is undulating with a few challenging short sharp climbs and some fabulous downhills.
The trail wends its way through quiet farmland, hugging papa cliffs and skirting the edges of the Retaruke river.
Part way up the road, the track is joined by the Heartland ride connecting the Timber Trail and Taumaranui in the North with Mountains to Sea - Nga Ara Tuhono.

Oio Road is a great gravel ride. If you are time poor or just want the highlights, then our Official Trail Partner shuttle operators run regular trips up the valley - so they can take you, your bikes and/or your gear.
